CCCI Business Leader

In November 2021, Demetra Karantoki, Managing Director of Crowne Plaza Limassol, received a Business Leader award from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. For eight consecutive years the CCCI Business Leader Awards have aimed to celebrate business excellence in Cyprus and to recognize select business leaders for their outstanding contribution to entrepreneurship, to the economy and to Cyprus. Being the only woman to receive this prestigious award in 2021, in her acceptance speech Demetra dedicated her win to “women in business”.

IHG Torchbearer Award 2020!

IHG Torchbearer

The IHG Torchbearer Award recognizes hotels which achieve the highest levels of excellence in delivering True Hospitality for everyone. Winners of this prestigious annual award must achieve an all-green in their winning metrics and an Elite score for Guest Love, which is measured through the HeartBeat Survey sent to guests after they stay at any IHG Hotel worldwide. The Crowne Plaza Limassol Team brought home this award in 2020.

IHG Managing Director Award

In 2020 Rebecca Pierides, Director of the Churchill Hotel Management Ltd. which owns and operates the Crowne Plaza Limassol hotel received IHG’s Managing Director Award for Southern Europe. IHG bestows this award on franchise hotel operators who are true brand ambassadors, and go above and beyond to bring IHG’s vision to life for guests, colleagues and the local community.

Business / City Hotel

Crowne Plaza Limassol received the Business And/Or City Hotel bronze award at the 2nd Annual Cyprus Tourism Awards, and was the only hotel to be awarded in this category. The Cyprus Tourism Awards aim to celebrate hotels and other stakeholders for their contribution to making Cyprus a world-class tourist destination. Being the closest beach hotel to the city centre, we pride ourselves on being uniquely placed to give our guests the best of both worlds, offering best-in-class business services and plently of opportunities for quality downtime with a renovated spa and a whole host of leisure facilties.

Hotel of the Year

In 2019 Crowne Plaza Limassol was named IHG’s Crowne Plaza Hotel of the Year in Southern Europe. Only one Crowne Plaza hotel or resort per region wins this award each year, which aims to celebrate best-in-class teams that work better together to deliver True Hospitality to guests, colleagues and the local community. This was also a great win for Cyprus, and the team was delighted to shine a spotlight on our Mediterranean island as a quality business and leisure tourism destination.
